Can anyone recommend a decent rail ticket website?

All I'm trying to do is get prices for a trip from Macclesfield to either Stansted or Gatwick and back, the ones I've been on so far don't even put a direct train from Macc to Euston into the choices, trains I know for a fact exist :wonder:

Dont ever try to buy a ticket this way..

look at the route, find two or three major stations on the way, and check the times between each, for your journey.

in most cases its cheaper to buy 3 tickets for the individual legs of the journey, rather than a one ticket option

(and its legal too)...however traveling short isn't (go figure lol)

Mart :)

What do you mean by 'travelling short'

Is it like "Riding Dirty" ?

Think he means buying a ticket for three stations and getting off at a fourth, my brother fell foul of that, decided to try getting off a stop later as his house is equi-distant so though he would see if it was a nicer walk, any quicker that kind of thing, got hit for a £400 fine.
