Alarm Siren Sigma m30

hi i have a subaru impreza 1999 uk spec and the siren for the alarm don't
sound so i have taken it out just cut the wire. I have seen them on ebay but just i need to know if they are plug and play or hard wired. The alarm still works but its got no siren.
Thanks in advance

yes if you can get to the alarms ecu, you can just unplug and plug in a new one.
also if you can try this

"Fix for the M30 siren - sometimes if the vehicles battery goes flat and the usual continual data between the alarm unit and the siren is lost, then the two units can go out of sync and the siren stops making any noise.
This can be reset. To do this you need to disconnect the siren harness from the alarm unit at the white 4-pole connector. (which by cutting the wires you have already done) With the siren disconnected, strip the siren to access the circuit board and internal battery (two cross-headed screws are located at the bottom of the slots on either side of the siren head). If you now connect a short length of wire to either side of the rechargeable battery to short it across and hold this in place for 5 seconds.
This resets the siren and more than likely you will have an audio output again."
