Impreza Weight ??

Had my car mapped yesterday at Zen and made 382BHP. Was very happy with that. I then thought it would be nice to know what BHP I'm running per ton, so I popped down to my local weigh bridge today. Car weighed in at 1150 KG ( without me in it ).
So if my calculations are right the car is about 332 BHP per ton, ( 382 divided by 1150 multiplied by 1000 ).

I was just wondering what my car would of weighed when it left the factory. It's a 1997 STI 3.
Any of you Impreza fans got any idea ???

Thanks.

I'm guessing a normal V3 would be around 1240-1250? I seem to remember the V3 Sti Type RA being around 1220.

Dunk i think Matty is closer! There was a thread a few years back on sidc where Imy and Grant both took their cars to the weight bridge i am 99% sure it was 1150 that they came out at.

1150 seems light for a standard classic ... 1200-1250 IMHO. Mine was 1240 when corner weighted.

TX.

PS

Congrats on 382hp :thumb: what's the spec?

Some of the early wrx ra's were that sort of weight but a version 3 should be more around the 1250-1270kg Mark with a full tank of fuel etc.

Tony:)

Hope this helps.

P1 = 1295 kg
RB5 = 1235 kg
McRae = 1235kg
02 STI = 1470 kg
03 STI = 1475 kg
05-08 STI = 1495 kg
08 - on STI = 1505 kg

hope this helps Glen:)

They both had the Version II RA though which was a fair bit lighter than the standard STI Version III.

TerminatorX,
Was well pleased with the result.
Spec is -
STI 9 spec C bottom end
TD05 20G ( 1.5 bar )
Roger Clarke 550cc injectors
Motec M48 pro with anti lag and launch enabled
HKS front mount
Green Cotton large air filter
GT spec exhaust manifold from lateral ( heat wrapped )
Full Milltek 3" exhaust ( de-catted )
Helix organic clutch on standard 5 speed
Fidanza lightened flywheel
AST Suspension with solid top mounts
Whiteline anti roll bars
Anti lift kit
Bump steer mod
Porshe 6 pot front calipers
360mm AP racing grooved discs
Tarrox pads
18" Turini Speedlines ( wrapped in toyo )
Apexi AVCR

A few other little cosmetic bits.
Car could of made a little more power but the 550's were getting close to maxing out so we dropped the boost off a little.
Very pleased though.
