Whilst Peter Green's fret-work is undeniably great, unlike Stevie Nicks he doesn't have a voice you could almost give up sex for :D

Maybe although his voice appeals to me. It's more than his fret-work, its the sound/tone/timing. Just fabulous.

Have you heard Supernatural?

I own one Fleetwood Mac CD and the only reason is that they were one of the few to release a CD that had extra functionality when played on a 3DO games console.

It was okay ...

Peter Green wrote Black Magic Woman which was covered later by Santana which turned out to be the more popular version. d

Whole lotta history in fm's songs, just have to listen to the lyrics to know what's going on.

Iirc fm are still going just without christine who pulled out after the dance tour, which imo was the best they did and have that on dvd plus the best of fm cd, might get rumours and tango at some point.

Also im a redruth boy like mick fleetwood

Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were an 'Item' before joining Fleetwood Mac ... if you listen to BuckinghamNicks songs then you will hear pure Fleetwood Mac from Rumours onwards.

Mick Fleetwood wanted a Guitarist, he heard Lindsey Buckingham and wanted him in the band .... Lindsey said that he and Stevie Nicks come as a couple - so, Stevie Nicks became the voice of Fleetwood Mac!

Worth seeking out Buckingham/Nicks early music if you like the later Fleetwood Mac! :thumb:

Yeah i know bud, what do you think 'you can go your own way' and 'silver spring' was all about.

Watch the latter video towards the end to see a little bit of that history between them coming out.

pslewis 27 January 2011 10:21 PM

Silver Spring is a masterpiece. It was meant to be on Rumours ... but was not added, much to Stevie Nicks annoyance.

"I wrote Silver Springs uh, about Lindsey. And I ~ we were in Maryland somewhere driving under a freeway sign that said Silver Spring, Maryland. And I loved the name. ...Silver Springs sounded like a pretty fabulous place to me. And uh, 'You could be my silver springs...' that's just a whole symbolic thing of what you could have been to me."

~Stevie Nicks, Classic Albums: Rumours, video 1998
