water/oil temps and anto freez

in the warmer months on normal driving and no boosting (m-way) my oil temp is around 100 deg c on the defi.

my water temp is about 88 deg c, and the fans come on at 92 deg c

I have brought a new rad today (ebay cheap O version)

How much anti-freez do i need to refill the system.

and is it worth fitting a colder stat to it when the system is drained?

thanks
ian

Mine at the moment is running at 85 - 88 deg c as "normal" - up to 95 or so in standing traffic - like you 92 is the fan cut in point..

Mine runs 82 on the water temp, and 90 on the oil temp, both Defis, 2.5 conversion, 400+bhp.

It will maintain those temps unless giving it beans.

i am still running the oe rad, and its not in the best condition.

after i have stoped, the water temp is soon at 92 deg c and the fans are on. oil temp will be normal at this point.

the % of water/anti freez is good and not that old

a 50/50 mix of antifreeze/water would be good as long as its concentrare antifreeze. Some stuff is already mixed and doesnt need water adding.

antifreeze was the right stuff.
