Will i need my map tweeked?

I have a mongoose exhaust 3 inch cat back and a pipercross induction kit.

I have now bought a 3 inch cat back blitz spec r exhaust and a blitz induction kit, will i need my map tweaked for these?

Yes matey, you will need tweak map at least for induction kit(i would recommend sell induction kit and use OE airbox, which is good up to 450bhp,but if you are running FMIC,you must get at least tweak)
For exhaust, yes you will need tweak map.....
Hope this help......

Is the tweek required for the induction kit, or the exhaust Duncan? Everyone keeps telling me if I change my exhaust I shouldn't need a tweek!

dynamix 18 January 2011 02:24 PM

induction kit :)

ScoobyDoo69 18 January 2011 02:36 PM

Ok cool. Thanks Duncan. As you're aware my Nur Spec R is a bit much for track days :D

So you already have an induction kit and exhaust right? He would need his map sorting even if he's only changing to a different induction kit?:wonder:

Or am I just reading his post totally wrong:freak3:

For the record I have no idea but wondered if people had realised you already had an induction kit on there.

Hi there every induction is different(K&N don't have just one type or Blitz don't have just one type of induction kit) and must be tweaked, with exhaust is the same,if you just change resonated center for non-resonated center....

Hi there, personally i go for Cobra exhaust(or Backbox),because i have fitted Nur Spec(Tested at Brands Hatch and 120dB),which is not Track Days friendly.

Good question,i go for just catback(back box and center pipe).
And Japspeed DP is OK,with the Cobra center pipe and backbox,

3" will be OK for you,and will be slightly quieter like 2,5".As above, you must get map tweak, for full potential etc.
Which turbo you are running?
