Go straight to Zunsport though (Zunsport are far from the cheapest place) i e-mailed them after GreatGonzo said he went straight to Zunsport too...the owner mailed me back with a very healthy discount code:).....i got all the grills for £30 more than the top Grill set on its own:)

That is a very good price, I think I'll get some ordered

SpecDscooby 19 February 2011 05:42 PM

Will post some pis shortly, been wet so aint bathing it!....will look a lot like Gonzo's though i guess:).......I'm pleased with the grill....terrifying to fit for me though...hated man handling the grills out of the top, then went on to hate drilling 4mm holes in the front bumper!....only took an hour for the lot, but not for the faint hearted mate!!..

I think the car now looks classier, and more descerning, un like is owner:)

Did you leave the original black lower grill in situ as it s sits further back!

SpecDscooby 19 February 2011 07:11 PM

Yep, no need to touch that, it is 5.5 inches further back than the Zunsport:)

greatgonzo 19 February 2011 09:07 PM

Funny mine never had the black lower grill! was it standard with the spec D :wonder:

53 19 February 2011 09:25 PM

^ Yes mate :)

SpecDscooby 19 February 2011 09:26 PM

Far as i know YES??..it made fitting the Zunsports interesting as you measure from the lip in the lower spoiler.....A lip that is covered in a standard black grill in mine, so had to prize the tap measure under it for correct fitment.....now are'nt i clever:)....Johnny 2 lower grills they call me:)...

53 19 February 2011 09:28 PM

Mines going up for sale real soon :) Look out for the full listing :)

SpecDscooby 19 February 2011 09:33 PM

Really.....why??...shame nice example....bigger shame is what you might get offered...dont think DJ jon got more than 10k for his...:(

Incidentally my car was registered 21st March 2007......number 300 of 300 i'm sure....lol.:)

53 19 February 2011 09:49 PM

Mine won't be that cheap :) if it doesn't sell it's no biggy but at 10,780 miles it's a new car still. Tight as a drum and fully loaded, the right person will buy it as it's practically perfect with the handling upgrades. :)

Clearly is mint from the pics, and everyone on here knows how you are about car hygiene:)......GLWS mate, shame though.....getting another one, or sticking with the wagon only>?

53 19 February 2011 09:59 PM

Selling or PXing for a bug sti (with cash lol :)) to break for parts and take the wagon to dizzy heights  Six speed and a 2.1 etc would make me very happy :D

Definately gonna get a front splitter, think it should go pretty well with the tinted windows & black alloys. Absolutely loving the car, even though it is a bit thirsty for the petrol!

Rick

greatgonzo 24 February 2011 07:30 PM

I love the last Pic great angle :luvlove:

What spoiler is that?
Did you have to have it painted?

ukjesters 25 February 2011 06:56 AM

Hi Gonzo,
I've absolutely no idea what spoiler it is but I can tell you it's bloody heavy! I'm guessing that it must've been painted somewhere along the way before fitment.

greatgonzo 25 February 2011 05:07 PM

I really like it, i know its meant to be a discrete Subaru but hay who cares :luxhello:

SpecDscooby 26 February 2011 12:26 PM

Looks good, not dissimilar to a prodrive spoiler.....or one of these

Maybe even a Version 5/6 spoiler....cant really tell, but someone will know!!...where is 53WRX when you need him:)

If I can be a bit biased...lol, I love the way it looks & will be leaving it how it is apart from putting on a front splitter that I've just bought!

Ever since I saw John welch giving it sideways in his xtrac astra with black wheels many moons ago, that was it the seed was planted & I absolutely love black wheels, just happens that crystal grey is my fav colour (was looking for my05 as didn't think I could afford a 56 plate but got a great deal). However, there must be something about our little spec d's because wether the wheels be silver/black/white they all look good. I honestly haven't seen a bad looking spec d yet.
Keep the pics coming.

WarrenSTI 26 March 2011 11:50 AM

What's happening in Spec D land? Anyone done any mods recently. Or anyone just entered spec d ownership?

SpecDscooby 08 April 2011 08:01 PM

friday night bump.....I machine polished mine last week, spent all day, looked like a new pin...went out with the camera and it p1ssed with rain, so no pics:( well worth the time though, all the TAR gone, and the little swirls gone..

53 08 April 2011 08:29 PM

WarrenSTI 10 April 2011 11:02 AM

Gave mine a clay baring too the other week, looks loads better. But I like the idea of the machine polish.
