Speedo / Mileage cluster
 

Hello.

Just wanted to know. Is the milage "saved" in the speedo cluster or is it saved in the ECU or somewhere else ?

If i need to get a new cluster will it show the same milage or will it show the milage of the other car that cluster came from ?

Or if i throw the ECU away and be getting a stand alone management will my milage disappear ?

The "new" dash with digi clocks, V5 STI MY99

ECU doesn't hold the digital read out for the Speedo. i think its held in memory with in the Cluster itself.
