Classic 2000 non turbo, EJ201 engine head replacement
 

Hiya guys!

Ive got a Impreza Classic, W reg (2000) Non Turbo with the EJ201 engine.

Im wanting to pick anyones brains about the head replacements on them, I managed to crack a bargain at buying reconditioned heads for £200.00 which came off a 98 model, but im not sure if this will be a direct fitment for my engine, the new heads say H22-2 + H222-6 on them.

I was told this would be a straightforward jobbie, except I happened to come across a web post that said from 99-00 they change and to check :wonder:

Can anyone tell me if they know the codes on the cylinder head's on the 2000 engine to ensure this will be a nice and easy job to do, short of taking my own engine to bits to find out!! :Whatever_

Are the heads off a non-turbo too? I'm not even sure that turbo heads will fit a non-turbo car, compression ratio may be a problem.

Yeah, they are off a non turbo too :)

any guys have an idea on the above?
