"The 911 engine is a six-cylinder unit displacing 3,596 cm³ and developing 235 kW (320 bhp) at 6,800 rpm. Maximum torque of 370 Nm is available from as low as 4,250 rpm."
Ooooooooh.... :) |
nice motor, imagine drivin that round town!
|
Me and my brother are trying (with some success) to talk my Old Man to buy himself one.. Trouble is he lives in the States so I'll not get my dabs on it often enough! I park next to a new shape 911 Turbo at the station every morning and turn green with envy as I walk past!
|
Hey my M3 develops 1 extra 1hp than that Porker!
Shame about the power:weight ratio |
My M8 is an engineer/Test driver for Porsche R&D in Weissach near Stuttgart, he phones me up from the test track to tell me what he is driving and also tells me what GT car has just gone screaming past him as he stands there. He drives a Subaru Impreza MY00 GT as his normal car and says he prefers it to Porsches. He also gave me a guided tour of the plae and the Porsche Motorsport place aswell. :D:D:D

I've got a 2001 Carerra 4, slightly different lights and backend. More refined and certainly better looking than a Scoob but you can't go anywhere in it as there is no-where for luggage. Sound great though ;) Still miss my Sti 5 Door in some respects.
Cheers Cammy |
My dad's having a late mid life crisis (50) - so he has just ordered one :D - lucky git. Takes delivery in Jan 03
|
camk, You probably know that a large portion of the front luggage compartment in your 4 wheel drive 911 is swalloed up by the front drff' etc. The RWD cars have more space and can swallow a reasonable suitcase!
I wonder if the do a C2S ? |
simonburton, has ur dad oredered the C4'S' version, because when i went to merlin porsche last weekend i was told delivery is approx 2 years. If your father found somewhere to get quicker delivery could you please tell me which porsche dealer he ordered from.
Cheers Ross |
Apparently it will be delivered during the 1st quarter of next year, but still better than 2 years ;)
|
He drives a Subaru Impreza MY00 GT as his normal car and says he prefers it to Porsches He needs to get out more then  |
Stephen,
Yes I did know that. We took the C4 option as we get quite a bit of snow here in winter(750M high)and there was a big trade off in boot space. We've got Tiptronic too which just makes you a lazy driver as its semi automatic or Manual. Changes down when you brake hard and does not change gear if your are going round a bend, amazing !!! Goes through rear tyres quickly though ;) Regards Cammy |
