Hi all, does anyone know where I could order online a coil pack for a hawkeye jdm STi?
Ive been searching for the last hour and struggling, all the obvious companies dont have an online shop or they dont come up on a site search :(
Thanks Subeyman ;)

Enlighten the community, and we may be able to save you a coil pack or two.

Been there months ago, was informed it was the ECU(via scoob specialist) so sourced 1 and today had a visit from JGM to sync the keys and map the replacement ECU.
installed the ECU and still the same :(
Simon said (not quoted) its poss an intermittent electrical fault, i.e. loom plugs, spark plugs, poss aftermarket alarm...?
I checked 2 of the 4 spark plugs as was getting dark and found 1 to be loose(un-done with my hands on the actual socket) re-tightened and still the same.
Im not experienced mechanically and it seems to be impossible to find the cause of the problem after 3 different people looking at it :(
Obviously JGM couldnt map the car.
JGM could explain in more detail whats happening.
Bit gutted with the situ as its costing me pounds and getting nowhere.
Sad Subeyman

Just been reading through your post history.

I'm very confused. The car has been to at least 1 reputable Subaru specialist and still has the same problem. With your self confessed limited mechanical knowledge i really cannot see how you can resolve the problem online.

My advise would be, not to continue throwing money into your process of elimination (ie c.£300 on coils) as i don't believe you are barking up the right tree. Perhaps a better option would be to book the car in at a reputable specialist and just tell them to fix the issues and call you when the car is ready. The £300 will, i feel, be better spent that way.

Please do not take this the wrong way. But all the talk of immediate overboost/cut and 6k spool up in your previous threads again says to me that you are, well, no mechanic and have little understanding of your chosen marque. Add to that, that you don't even have a boost gauge fitted also tells me you have little understanding of what is needed to understand what is happening mechanically or electronically.

It seems you have had the issue(s) now for at least 6 months.

Take it to a specialist and bite the financial bullet. :)

No probs fair reply ;)

I do make it clear im limited with my knowledge of cars and certainly dont wanna get deep into the technical stuff. I must admit my use of words to describe the prob are pretty poor(as is my grammar) as not to sure on the lingo to describe things. The car problem has progressively got worse to now being undrivable.
I have left the car with someone and they narrowed it down to the ECU which I changed and it turns out not to be the ECU!?
How many times will I have to take it to people and how much will I keep spending before it gets sorted?
I just thought i could do certain checks myself as im not as stupid as my posts may suggest ;) lol

thanks for your efforts, subeyman

Totally understand subeyman, not everyone is mech/tech minded. Where are you based by the way??

My advise still stands.
Good luck, the specialist of your choice WILL sort it for you.

Im in thurrock nr Lakeside, essex.
ive got companies in mind, don't wanna mention names.
If you wouldn't mind pm'ing me any recommendations that would be appreciated.
I take on board what your saying and know its the best option but ive spent x-amount of pounds so far on fuel, labour, parts, time and tax/insurance for a car I cant drive/enjoy and no nearer solving the issue and bored of the transit connect lol
