Howdy guys, induction question
Hi guys, ain't been around much lately, so happy crimbo and new year!
Just fitted an induction kit to my00 turbo 2000, I know people say panel filters but I was given it so thought I'd give it a whirl. Seems to be ok but a little lumpy if I'm honest although throttle response is better. Just want to know, should I reset the ecu after fitting one of these (black/green plugs) and also the maf is still connected but there was another plastic connector plug on the old airbox which there is nowhere to plug in now, anyone know what this is?? Thanks in advance folks |
you dont need to reset the ECU, you need to have it mapped for the filter otherwise your engine could blow. Better to be safe than sorry

The MAF sensor needs rescaling mate through remap, give FB Tuning a PM mate:thumb:

It could though, turn in to a very expensive 2011 for you. New MAF and possible rebuild aint cheap.

Absolutly ZERO gains to be had in your case. As Ryan has already pointed out to you, ateotd you need a remap. Apart from the £££'s it will cost, which makes your 'free' IK a, now very expensive IK. You will see no more gain from the remap with the IK fitted than you would with a STi or KnN panel fitted. All imho of course. |
