Sony CDX-M600R motorised front CD player. Comes with instruction booklet & Security Code & Remote control. Radio works fine but CD player doesn't work. Have been told it needs a ribbon?

Sony RM-X2S & Alpine RUE-4185 Remote Controls. Both work brilliantly, but the Alpine one needs x2 AAA batteries. The Sony plugs directly into the back of the headunit & you can mount the remote on the side of the steering wheel cowling!!
