well it can be fireworks as we've properly had the same amount over here and yet I still find pigeon poo on my motor. 5000 is a large number of birds and that's the ones they found might well be double that for all we know.

And here's me worrying about a single Blackbird which I haven't seen in my garden since the cold snap :(
