Oh that is sad. One of my favourite actors. He was brilliant in The Usual Suspects.

RIP Pete from a fellow Warringtonian, a great actor and a down to earth guy that will be missed by many.

RIP Pete, Brassed off. One of his best films.

This is sad news, isnt it? I always think of Brassed Off too: "...she's a bit careless with the crockery, your Sandra!" :D

Very sad - so relatively young.
To me, he made the character of Sgt Hakeswill in the Sharpe series the perfect baddy.

Thats sad, he was brilliant in "The Town", really good film that hasn't had a lot of publicity.

Really enjoyed his acting - he fully inhabited all the characters he played, etc.

A fine, fine actor in the same way as Tom Wilkinson is.

He'll be sorely missed.

watched inception last week what an omen (played the part of a dying man) rip Mr Postlethwaite a superb all-round actor.

Brilliant actor - excellent in Romeo & Juliet :notworthy

I shared a table with him in the business lounge at Perth airport about 5 years ago. I remember he had an amazing jacket on and he wore a diamond ear ring. We never spoke , but it was definitely him .

P.P. film just started on BBC Four now!... :)
