16" WRX standard wheel width?

Hi, sorry for this post as I'm sure this information is here somewhere but I can't find it.

What is the width (J) of the standard 16" alloy wheels fitted to a 1999 WRX wagon? I'm not sure of the name but they are a 5 split spoke design.

I've just driven to Poland (here now) and need to get some winter tyres for the way back. Turns out 205 50 R16's aren't a very common size so need to know what alternatives I can fit.

Managed to do a 720 degree spin down a sheet ice hill, lost traction, steered into the verge to slow down, spun in the snow twice and landed back on the road with no damage and in the right direction!

Considering this to be extremely lucky I wanted abit of extra grip for the way back.

Ok looks like I might only be able to get 205 55 R16 which mean the outer radius will be greater, will I have any problems with clearance?

no will be fine, unless your wagon is very low

As far as I know its standard, clearance is about 40mm front tyre to arch and 20mm rear. Thanks for the reply.
