It means...If you lower your car too much with a sets of wide wheels say 9.5J or more, this will make your tyres rub ur fender. THerefore, after u roll your fender to inside, there would be more space or distance between your tyres and fenders. Sorry for bad english..

thought that was maybe what you meant mate , id say where can i get my arches rolled.

I had archenemy out to do mine and they were superb!! Absolutely brilliant, I had the gaffer come out and do mine, nice chap and very knowledable and lets you know exactly whats going on and will warn you about everything before hand.

Be prepared for some spider cracking in the paint!

When the arches are rolled they will naturally pull out slightly as well, mine came out 6mm on either side when they were rolled :)

Im sorry to hear that m8~but nice combo。Im going to have the grid in bronze 9.5j et38 with 235 40 18 stretch tyres. did you fit a 5mm spacer to clear the brembo?

I would be careful on how far you get those wheels out of the arches, I do believe there is a law on this and your car may fail its mot (and fender is the bumpers, hence you hear the term fender bender for car crashes ;))
Have a word with Maggy (M444GY) as he has his own tyre place (but down south) and will be able to give you advice, this includes the stretch tyres (which are not a good idea if you want the car to handle well).

Tony:)

HI Tony, thanks for your advice, I will reconsider about choosing the tyres.

Stealth 25 December 2010 11:23 PM

I had the very same setup as you on my car, 235's are perfect fit once stretched LOL Falken FK452's were on mine.

They look cool but don't expect the wheels to last more than a year without needing a refurb, curbing or no curbing!

When the tyres are stretched you lose all rim protection and simple stones flicking up on the road will chip the paint on the edge of these rims - it is very much style over practicality mate !!

You won't fail an MOT with this combo and having the work done properly, Archenemy will ask to see the wheels on the car etc prior to starting the work so they know what they are working to ;)
