LMM on the 13th cant come soon enough mate :D

JonMc 25 October 2011 09:11 PM

Price and availability in the end - banking on a lottery win to get the last of Bren's GBs but with Christmas and the cost of the respray might just have to wait until next year - if something good comes up secondhand once I have the cash I may reconsider but VFM seems better than the STI brembos:thumb:

Thanks Jon,to be fair a LOT of effort has gone into the job and it has come out very well with the c+k motors team being over the moon with the end result.
It is a real head turner now with everybody that comes through the workshop wanting to go and have a close look and admire the finish,to be perfectly honest it even steals the show from the 550 marrinello that's parked along side it!!
All that's required now is the HD wax and the application of the sealer coat before the pickup, but I'm off work until next week so it will coincide with that now.

I thought about until I remembered the bloke who own's it is an ex SAS major and now own's a security firm so my life means more than some brakes I'm afraid Jon:lol1::lol1:
Would be just the job though,oh while we are on the 550 i can tell you that part of the job is to replace the bonnet due to rust and the cost of a new one is a shade over 5K:eek:

JonMc 25 October 2011 09:47 PM

Yeah, but ex-SF blokes earn rockstar wages these days, especially when they run CP companies so I'm sure he can afford it:thumb:

JonMc 25 October 2011 09:49 PM

BTW - the SAS aren't all muscle - they still watch X-factor:lol1:

That's for sure mate, what made me laugh was he didn't even ask a price just do this/that and the other without a care so I would guess he is more than loaded, different world to you or I though.

JonMc 25 October 2011 09:55 PM

prodriverules 25 October 2011 09:56 PM

I hope everybody likes what they see,as Jon says it will have a final clean down followed by a waxing and then a protective life shine seal put on.

I need to tweak the alignment of the FMIC, when I do you can have the pipework for painting:thumb:

prodriverules 04 November 2011 12:09 AM

I saw that when we refitted the bumper,it's surprising when you make the paint work look really good it highlights all the little not so good points even more.

When I gather all the engine bits and send you the pipework for painting I'll at it:thumb:
