Polish beers
Recently I've been getting into my Polish beers. Surprisingly the ones everyone recognises: Lech, Tyskie and Zweic (something like that) are no better than what we currently drink. BUT....EVERY single other one is absolutely superb, generally ranging between 6 and 7%, so they taste nice, but not too strong, I think that's the optimum strength, and it doesn't exist in local beers. Anyway, I highly recommend you try them out, check out your local offy, most places in London seem to do them. These are the ones to look out for:
Zubr 6% Strong (I know, sounds ironically bad and I would normally avoid a beer called 'strong', but its really nice, really sweet, almost a 'dessert' beer) 6.5% Warka (Like a strong Stella 5.7%) Specjal 6% Debowe Mocne (My favourite, 7%) Okicim 7.1% Anyway, if anyone has tried them, or will do, post here and let us know what you think. http://gieldaspozywcza.pl/photoNewsG.../51179_big.jpg |

I second Zywiec - good stuff :thumb:

You need to try these one's though, they put Zywiec, and all the beers we drink to shame.

never drink beer from a can, tastes horrible imo
local village offy does Tyskie in bottles and it is very good |
Tyskie is fantastic. Much better than Stella.

Not sure I have seen any of them bar the one that our asda sells (tsykie)
But then we don't have such a big immigration thing going on up here. |
you ought to try some ul ol from danmark, aka christmas beer, it packs a real punch. generally just made this time of the year by carlsberg, its the strength of whisky.

Prefer the Czech beers myself - but another vote for not drinking from the can!
