Thats done more than 52k have you seen the engine bay. Plus if its a recent import it will have either been a high mile er or damaged repaired.
|
one of the ugliest subarus ever.
|
To be honest, at current exchange rate, that's a fair price for an S201:)
Personally, its not how the car looks, its how it performs... and these cars aren't exactly the worst of the bunch... :thumb: I actually know one of the main engineers of the S201 :norty: |
not a fan of the looks, but just for the name and ltd edition its a very kool car..
|
One of the best Classics ever built. Apart from the looks:freak3:
I wonder if anyone has the full set:wonder: S201, S202, S203, S204 and R205 Now that would be a collection:cool: |
Also the quickest classic ever released and had more special parts on it then most cars have had.
But everyones still right it does look rank. |

Looks like a max power show car man :nono:
|
the reason for the bodykit was because they wanted something a bit more streamlined and not built like a brick. i was reading somewhere about it a little while ago and STI spent quite a bit of time in wind tunnels just trying to get the air resistance right down and this was what they ended up with after there electra concept car.

I thought these were rare there's another one on flea-bay No 22 of 300 this time, the PH one is no 28 but I'd guess they are the same car or they have 2 for sale
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA...item3a613e7320 ugly thing right enough but that BIG rear spoiler is a serious looking piece of kit, it looks as if it could generate more downforce than any of the other variants, I've been looking for an alternative to the usual 'big wings' this might fit the bill. |

This series is a limited production series that sports an engine output of greater than 280 PS (210 kW; 280 hp) [had 224 kW (305 PS)] (special variant cars were excluded from the gentlemen's agreement). The car was decked with nearly every single part from the STi catalogue. The S201 was a 4-door STi that sported the only body-kitted S-series WRX STi. It had a tri-planar wing and a massive front airsplitter. The entire suspension was composed of STi parts. There were 300 S201s produced, they used a VF28 spec turbo, with max boost at 1.2 BAR and produced 224 kW (305 PS) and 353 Nm, weighing in at 1270 kg these are a highly desirable variant |
This should be a sticky as it always comes up ;) it's both ugly & expensive albeit never seems to sell for the high prices that owners put against them :lol1:
