How smokey is too smokey on a De-cat ?
Started it up yesterday and there was a lot of white smoke .. and I mean a lot .. couldn't see behind me lol
Ok its been sat a week and its a de cat .. the smoke was very white, no blue at all .. but is this something I need to get looked at ? it settled down after the car warmed up .. but still a bit smokey .. |
Sure it wasn't water in pipe evapourating. Mine used to especially on a cold morning.
I got so paranoid took it to the garage as I thought the seals were going. They just laffed and told me to bugger off. Does the 'smoke' just fade off or linger? Rup |
Exactly the same with mine mate I think it's just water vapour from the exhaust (hopefully lol)
|
I agree, my smokes like a china man on crack, but its white (recent engine rebuild) so I think you're pretty safe there bud.
|
cold weather mate so long as it clears as it warms up an it looks like steam its ok
|
Just about to ask this question, I was getting paranoid too, I'm looking at other cars thinking " well they're not smoking like me!"
|
Same here this morning, started it up popped back inside for a minute opened the front door and it was like stars in their eyes when they come through the smoke.
Clears after a while to a small puff. |
Same here, smokin' like may Grandad used to but reduced significantly when it warmed up:thumb:
No water usage since I last topped her up so I just put it down to vapour being more visible in the cooler temps:? |
Same here
|
