have i or havent i blown the centre diff?
 

hey all, fitted an 94 ra box to my my00 turbo. i was told it was the right box after doin some research and a few comments on the net i fitted the box...wrong!!! i found out after the ra was 4.1 and mine was 3.9 with drop gears 1.1. anyway i drove about 5 miles down the road, it seemed to be holding back which i assumed was transmission wind up. before i managed to stop, there was an almighty clang(several actually)and i stopped the car.
i presumed id blown the centre diff apart???? lesson learned, more research next time lol

anyway after that it drove fine over the next few weeks till the garage could fit me in. booked it into the garage today.ofcourse the snow starts hammering down and im the only 2wd impreza on the road , so i figured i wouldnt make it to the garage anyway, however i opended the car door while reversing to get a look what was happenin and noticed the back wheels and front wheels were spinning :eek: how is this possible if the centre diffs blown??????

p.s the close ratio box is fricken awesome, love that 4th gear!
