Need to read this dude. In particular the bit about posting relevant information re. your car model and year.

Without you telling us that, it's impossible for anyone to post you up a picture - given that there are a good eight or nine different possible underbonnet configurations/inlet manifold shapes.

If you can you will want to connect your gauge to a spare pressure takeoff on the inlet manifold. However not all model years have one - so in this case you'll probably have to splice into the dumpvalve vacuum line. Again the more you can tell us the easier it'll be for us to help you.

As per Alcazar's post, it should probably be an MY99 if it's on a V-prefix. You can check this easily by looking at the location of the coilpack (the bit with the spark plug leads coming from it) on the inlet manifold. If it's in the middle, you have an MY98. If it's on the side, you have an MY99.

MY99 should have a spare vac/pressure takeoff on the front of the inlet manifold currently closed with a little rubber bung. Think '98 car might too. If you have one, that's where you connect your gauge.

Correct: my 98 car had one, now occupied by my Defi boost gauge takeoff.
