Aerodynamics on Classic

OK OK I know we drive bricks with the edges smoothed off but:-

Ive just come back from 3 yrs away and haven't petrol prices done well! Any way we can invest in Unleaded futures?

Anyway, Ive always known my 97 UK turbo looked rather high at the front as far as the 'front spoiler' / bumper goes. Modern cars all have much lower skirts, usually of stiff rubber, I suspect this helps reduce drag by reducing under car turbulance so have been thinking about adding a rubber skirt to the front.

It also helps high speed stability of course, but I've not found that to be an issue that needs addressing on mine at all.

Anyone tried this for any reason and have any objective or even subjective results?

Cheers
