Monthly meet?

So now we have our own space, who'd be interested in a regular meet up?

Names to faces and all that :)

Not sure how far the members span here, but i'm more than happy to organise meets etc. When / where would be good for everyone?

sounds good.

saturday evening is best with me as have got to get up v early for work the other days, but can do any if needed :)

if anyone is into photos, and after a meet in a pub etc, the lion yard car park in cambridge has some very nice spots on the top for a good snap, with good lighing and back ground etc ill me more than happy to take some of other scoobs.

Week ends are good for me :thumb:

SkydiveMacca 16 November 2010 01:36 PM

I've organised quite a few club meets before, and usually a week night is better than weekends as people often have commitments, or shows that can get in the way.

Happy to go with it, but lets see what others think :)

maybe up for this if close enough...

Likewise. 140 mile round trip to Grantchester is a bit far !! (even allowing for the great/friendly gang !:lol1:)

Double post

Peterborough is fairly central for people, but am aware i'm suggesting my own town, so where else does everyone think?

We could maybe do a couple of monthly meets and alternate location - so that everyone can get involved?

There are already to two monthly meets in place on the last tuesday of every month, SIDC in Cambridge & Scooby City in Peterborough. Shouldn't be too hard to link up.

As those are meets for different clubs / boards, do we want to tag onto those, or start our own? Maybe just once a month?

The Cambridge one used to be organised via Scoobynet (but that was about 8 years ago!) and more recently it's been done via SIDC but all are welcome....

I usually post about the meets on both boards but rarely get any response on here.

New meet ?
Equidistant from Peterboro, Cambridge and Norwich ?
Thetford area ? - not far for Suffolk owners either ?

Ian 20 November 2010 11:49 AM

we could have a meet each week, but in a different area, then every couple of months etc have a super meet and all meet up

SkydiveMacca 20 November 2010 11:30 PM

That would be good. If there enough for the mini meets, or just try and have the super meet every two months to make it worth it? Then maybe make it monthly if it worked out?
