new head gasket and clutch
Just had both head gaskets done on my 06 sti and a new clutch at the same time but i forgot to ask the guy if i need to run it in and for how many miles.

did you have the heads scimmed, what gaskets did you use.

not sure the heads were sent to be checked and just standard gaskets
|
if the gaskets were not thicker to accomodate the 1000th of a mil that was skimmed of the heads, means lower compression which throws mixture ratios and causes detting and eventualy bottom end failer. so when this happens and you cant stand it no more i bagsey the gearbox and diff lol.
shame really mate must just only be out of warranty, hope all goes well for you. |
it was AS perfomance who did the work and they come well spoke of and am sure he did everything to spec
