No mate you only need to take it easy when you have new piston's/rings to bed them in correctly so just have fun again:thumb:

davewalker 12 November 2010 09:26 PM

so do you not need to bed a new clutch in then

No mate same applies just do what you want with it,the friction plate is ready to be used as per normal from the box.

did you have the heads scimmed, what gaskets did you use.

davewalker 12 November 2010 10:12 PM

not sure the heads were sent to be checked and just standard gaskets

4u2nv2 12 November 2010 10:25 PM

if the gaskets were not thicker to accomodate the 1000th of a mil that was skimmed of the heads, means lower compression which throws mixture ratios and causes detting and eventualy bottom end failer. so when this happens and you cant stand it no more i bagsey the gearbox and diff lol.
shame really mate must just only be out of warranty, hope all goes well for you.
