Interior Heating
 

Is it normal for the heating of the inside to take absolutely ages? I usually have to be driving the car for at least 10mins before any heat whatsoever comes into the inside, has something gone or on its way out do you think? My scoob is a classic uk wrx.

Might just need the filter cleaning or a new one. There behind the Glove Box mate!

No such car. All WRX's in classic shape were imports.

Anyway, do your rad pipes get hot?
My UK classic is blowing warm air after about two miles.

There isn't a filter there on classics. I think he is referring to the pollen filter, which classsics don't have.

Sorry mate. Thought all imprezas had the filter behind the Glove Box. Better off speaking to someone who has a Classic. I only know my shape, Newage. Lol

hey! I have the same experience. Though, I did notice almost instantaneous warming up when I changed the battery. A few days later, it went back to its slow a$$ self

im afraid the heat comes from the engines water, so if your temp gauge says cold, you wont be blowing hot air in. unless its misty inside and you NEED the blowers to clear the window, you are best turning it off til the temp gauge is up to normal temp.

otherwise it takes longer for the water to get to temp, longer to get to blowing hot air, and you end up blowing COLD air round for the first few miles!

I thought all cars had pollen filters :wonder:

It could also be your thermostat that needs replacing. As they get old they take longer to open as the diaphragm has deteriorated so the warm water takes longer to soften the rubber.
