it would help if you put down what year subaru and model you have and also mods and if the engine forged or not and how many miles on the clock dude

Glowplug 01 November 2010 01:43 PM

Some thing like this.

Billet 01 November 2010 04:59 PM

Dont know what spec you have but for 380 bhp and a rapid road car i would suggest a TD05 18G.

seddomyster 01 November 2010 05:02 PM

id say an sc36 mate. u may push to 380 on it with good spool up

Tidgy 01 November 2010 06:21 PM

sc36 all the way

happydude303 01 November 2010 07:10 PM

but really if you want to hit 380bhp you really want and andy forest 20g but this does depend on what spec you subaru is

Have a look at this:

The actual dyno results suggest you're not likely to reach your goals with an SC36 unless the advocates know something else, however it looks like there are other SC turbos which could.

sc46 will crack 380, but aiming for 380 i'd rather go sc36 and get slightly lower than that but much better responce, thats where you'll notice the biggest difference.

Yeah I guess it's whether Typer is more interested in the numbers or how the car will drive.

We can only guess what he has done to his car, I wouldnt go above 350bhp on the standard internals, even then a tired engine is prone to throwing a rod out the side of the block.
No idea what year it is, addition for an aftermarket ecu or remap minimum, clutch, brakes etc, who knows what budget they have? if they think its just bolt on and go, well the engine will anyway :lol1:

Tony:)

thanks for all the replys guys i really appreciate it, sorry i didnt leave any details of the car its a 1996 wagon approx 30k on rebult engine
its got simtek ecu front mount walbro pump, straight through exhaust, induction kit, running 1.55bar it has just had new uprated cluth and the gearbox rebuilt.

basically the reason for asking what turbo's run around the 380 mark is because mine has gone and obviously i didnt want to put a turbo on that would reduce the power and fun i have in it.lol.

ive been offered a td06 20g for a good price but im not sure it will be anygood for my car or spec??????

what you think????? will it be to big and have to much lag?????

Tidgy 02 November 2010 02:12 PM

what was the spec of the build? pushing it anymore could be all she wrote if iwas just a standard build

happydude303 02 November 2010 02:21 PM

where it is the tdo6 20g it might be a bit laggy you needa 7cm td05 20g from the likes of andy forest or harvey smith
