We could get into a debate about this...

...my view of the world is simple - the various laws of thermodynamics pretty much says that (apart from entropy) that if you eat more calories than you use you will get fat.

Very simple.

So to get that fat you need to eat a lot more than you use. A lot more.

I know that a 'fat' gene has been identified - but that only accounts for around a 4-9% difference in body weight compared to someone without it.

I am yet to be persuaded that anything other than eating too much can make you fat, especially that fat.

People generally get fat over years & years then wonder why they can't get it off in a few weeks :cuckoo: takes hard work (to get fat &/or thin).

When I mentioned to my doctor that it seemed difficult to lose weight he said"Eat less food". He was dead right too!
