So 100 plus people at risk right at the edge of the Sea King range. Still not a problem just send out the "Mighty Hunter" to coordinate the and support the rescue. Oh hang on we have gotten rid of them

yes still the main element of the air sea recue are Sea Kings

p.s. no part of the english channel would really be out of range..

South west coastguard range stretchs approx 1200 mile out into the Atlantic. Not sure the Sea King has quite that range.
