New build - need help recommendations
 

Hi everyone

I am looking to replace the mobo/cpu & ram in my Compaq presario sr1000 , (Micro ATX board afaik)

I am very out of touch with latest cpu/ram speeds etc

Could somebody suggest a good choice for the above thats good value for money and not too expensive?

Prob need new PSU also now that I think of it ...

VGA card and drives are already taken care of :)

Onboard sound would be a plus too ;)

I went with an AMD Athlon 2 640 x4 , 4gb corsair ddr3 ram , Asrock mobo ,Samsung F3 1TB , 800w PSU and ATI 4870 vga

Just need to put it together now ! :thumb:
