SUBARU IMPREZA WAGON, TURBO 2000, V REG (2000), JUST UNDER 56,000 MILES

Hello all.

I have had this wagon for just over 3 years and enjoyed every minute of ownership, however due to having recently moved in with my fiancée we only really need the one car and unfortunately the Subaru is the one to go.

I am the second owner - the previous being an elder gent that lived near Canterbury. He had kept the car in immaculate condition and the car has wanted for nothing. I purchased the car with approximately 37,000 miles and the current mileage is just 55,677. I have struggled to find another on PistonHeads with such low mileage for its age. The full history will back up the mileage.

The car remains in amazing condition for its year apart from a few tiny shopping centre marks which are a struggle to see unless you are really looking for them. There are some scuffs on the alloys and also when the previous owner took the car in for a service the garage misplaced the internal cover for the back lights on the passenger side. I know I am being picky but I am being as honest and open as I can be.

The car has been regularly serviced throughout its life by Subaru and specialist independents and a full and comprehensive history comes with car.

I have a folder full of every receipt and detailed info for anything that has been bought for the car including the original sales receipt and all the handbooks. The original sales receipt even includes a breakdown of the costs for the optional extras which you will note include full leather interior and air conditioning.

The car is completely standard apart from a stainless steel back box.

I am not in any rush to sell the car so, therefore, I am not interested in silly offers so please only contact me if you are a genuinely interested in purchasing the car.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. However, no test drives unless you have a valid insurance certificate, no telephone sales and no test pilots!

Summary:

Silver UK turbo wagon
Registered 2000 - V reg
Currently 55,677 miles
2 mature owners
FSH - (Subaru/Subaru specialist)
Full leather interior as a factory fitted option
Standard Subaru immobiliser alarm
Rear wiper
Drivers/passenger airbags
Central locking
Folding rear seats
Front/back electric windows
Electric door mirrors
ABS
Air conditioning (fully functioning)
Alloy wheels
Roof rails
PAS
Front fog lights
Fog light Protectors
Rear bumper boot protector
Boot cover
2 key fobs

In summary an Extremely tidy sports/family estate with exceptionally low mileage.

Due to a couple of timewasters one of which pulled out as a result of his wife being unhappy at the fact that the car was not fitted with Isofix child attachements in the back!!!! ive heard it all now :lol1:

I am prepared to drop the asking price to £3,500 ono.

I have seen cars with a lot more miles seemingly sell for more than what i am asking and therefore have priced the car as to what i think is a very competitive value.

Am not open to silly offers but if anyone wants to talk to me about the car before viewing then please do not hesitate to contact me and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

So as said before a 2 owner car with low miles, in great condition, full history and all the receipts to prove for £3,500 ono

As previously said due to a couple of time wasters thee car remains unsold.

Am I being unrealistic in the asking price or is it down to the Market just being completely dead. I've read people on here saying that they are looking for such and such a Subaru for a budget which mine falls into but as said apart from the odd call or email early on and one who decided against it due to thelack of isofix child belts I haven't really heard a thing.

If anyone has any pointers it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Price is a bit high in all honesty.

You could do with giving it a really really good clean. Posting pics of the car with caked on brake dust on the wheels isn't going to have people jumping to buy. You'd also want to ask why is the offside rear wheel so dirty compared to the others - could a stuck caliper.

Isofix passes me by completely. Had 2 Imprezas while the nipper was growing up and never had an issue - although we never crashed :)

Thanks for the feed back as really appreciate it.

Its difficult pricing it as there are so many out there for sale varying in price so thought i would pitch it at that but as said i am open to offers.

I actually gave it a good wash and wax the week after taking the photos so its actually loooking a lot cleaner than what it was although i think i should of washed first photographed it later. :lol1:

New years Bump.

Since last post i have put another 12 months road tax on the car and also had the MOT last week.

It failed the MOT on rear pads and discs which have now been replaced but there were no other advisories at all.

So MOT till January 2012 and tax till end of December 2011.

Mileae approx 56,200

As you can see the car does not given driven much and is really only used at weekends

Agreed. The photo's are rubbish.
I've 6k burning a hole in my pocket but I can't seem to find anything I like and although your ad is fine the pics really let it down which puts me right off.

Thanks for the comments.

Will have to get out there and give it a good scrub and post smoe more pics.

Firstly start a complete new thread as it's been for sale too long and puts people off. The title and content is spot on, imo.

Pics - Front, rear, both sides, interior, under bonnet. Take pics in a decent location, scenic surroundings are good. All horizontal photo's.

Clean/polish everything, including the mats and your instrument display needs a dust. Attention to detail can make the difference.
HTH.

Jukesy007 18 February 2011 09:25 AM

Thanks for the comments "bob r", its actually booked in for a service on 14 March so will do a new set of photos after that.

Its definitely a strange market out there as having been in contact with other sellers have seen ones selling like mine with a lot higher milage for only a couple of hundred pounds less than what mine is up for.

I get calls asking where it is but as soon as i say its based around the kent/London border i dont hear back. Havent had one viewing on it!!!

Still im in no rush to sell which is just as well :lol1:
