dccd difference between 5sp and 6sp

Hi,

I have a GC8 sti type RA ver. 5
The car comes with DCCD. I plan to swap into a version 8-9 6 sp. Does anyone know if it is a direct swap? The DCCD on the GC8 does not have the auto mode like the later versions.

Cheers.

The 6MT DCCD unit can be controlled by the existing electronics in your RA. Only 2 wires to hook up, earth and a 12V pulse width modulated signal.

Doesnt the diff need to be changed?
Needing a 3.9 instead of a 4.1?

The electronics may be different, but the gearbox is a dumb device... you will need a matching rear diff.

Yes,
I will also get the ver8 rear diff.

You wil also need the prop and front drive shaftstub to suit six speed, a circlip for the lsd spindle and 2 front drive shaft oil seals....

Also the 6 speed linkage and the gearknob unless you want to modify the 5 speed one.

I will have access to all those parts as it is from a crashed car.
Anywhere I can find pics on all the parts I need?
Or any one has written a how-to on it?
