best way to identify boost leak???

Any advice would be appreciated....please.....

Car sounds frappy while revving( had similar problem a few engines ago and it was a leaking FM-intercooler pipe) Checked all the obvious places and connections round the intake vacuums and exhausts, but can't detect where theres an escape...

Is there a step method of test or procedure, or anyone know of a less obvious place that they may have experienced and fixed this problem??

All the best, cheers.

The method I used was to clamp some heavy duty polythene over the turbo inlet, pour soapy water over everything and then introduce compressed air through the brake booster hose. The soapy water will bubble wherever you've got leaking air, or you'll hear the air whistling as it exits.

If you haven't got a compressor, lung power can go a long way.

just spray all the hoses with carb cleaner and when the revs pick up you've found your leak;)
