Anyone used forester spares at bilston

http://www.foresterspares.co.uk/

Hi after flicking through some old receipts i got with my car there is a receipt from the above company for valve repair costing £640 on the 10.2.10.
I was just wondering if anyone else has used this company and are they well known and reputable, i believe the owners are named Juilie and Ivan.

Any light on this matter much appreciated

I have seen an advert on ebay where they are selling reconditioned short engines for subaru's, details as copied direct from their advert below

This listing is for a professionally Rebuilt Subaru EJ20 WRX engine block. Built by Forester Subaru Spares
This engine block will work in ALL Impreza‘s, Foresters and Legacey’s. The block is of rear thrust bearings.

The OEM 2.0L WRX/STI heads will bolt-on up to year 2000 models, then some start to change.

For performance requirements please contact us.

This item is not a complete engine: This is a fully assembled short block, which consists of a block, crank, rods and pistons and rear main crank seal. You will need to reuse your stock cylinder heads or purchase replacements. The engine has been stripped, washed and sprayed silver. The crankshaft was then reground, and undersize bearing and oversize bearings were fitted to give it a tight fit.

You will receive. A rebuilt EJ20 Subaru open deck engine block assembled. This includes the following-
v crankshaft
v pistons
v conrods
v New rear main seal

Now, i am no engine builder but i was under the impression regrinding a subaru crank was un wise :wonder:

nice customer service!

i simply gave them all the details of the invoice i had dates ,time etc and total price i received an email stating invoice number and work carried out which is totaly different to mine maybe a mistake but wrong registration ,and work done and total cost even wrong date !
Seems to me they dont want any association with the work carried out for dear of repriasels.
