Heat wrap v Powder coating

I am currently getting parts together for a remap and was preparing to get the decat and headers heat wrapped but after reading a few posts about powder coating i am starting to wonder if this is a better alternative? Can anyone advise me please:wonder:

Probably you are think Zircotec ceramic coating not powder coating?

Zircotec ceramic coating is by far the best way of doing it, some of the F1 teams use them, however it comes at a high cost.

i have had my headers turbo and downpipe done

I prefer to use heat wrap as it seems to work more effectively and with ceramic coating it does seem to rub off, depending on the thickness of the coating.

Heatwrap is much cheaper and longer lasting so I have heard......

i had a fire in an old peugeot of mine . oil dripped from the cam cover onto the heat wrap on the manifold and duly went up!!. ceramic coating is the future heat wrap is old school, if you get it done properly it will not rub off and it has been proven to be more effective. there is an article on it in performance ford from about 4-5 months back

cheap ceramic coating is a big no no, Zircotec is by far the best, i read that Heatwrap needs to be re done every 3 0r 4 years ?
