Decat - MPG??

hi guys,
i have a 2001 WRX which came with a decat when i bought it but i'm getting crap mpg. If i revert the exhaust back to the standard type with the cats will i see an increase in the mpg? Some have told me that i will yet others say it will make any difference.
Can someone please confirm either way?
thanks :wonder:

my classic is fully decatted and i can get 30mpg if im careful and bout 26/27mpg with my normal "enthusiastic" driving. :^)

Impreza Turbo = Crap mpg!

Not sure whether the decat will make any real difference to be honest, a remap is required to make best use of it, but just decatting without remapping doesn't change the way the car fuels i reckon

I regularly swap the cat in and out for MOT's etc.. absolutely no noticable change to MPG

( other than the tendency to use the load pedal a bit more and the obvious effects from that )

+1 on impreza turbo = lousy MPG

& if your getting high 20's even 30 ( :wonder: ) your driving like miss daisy or maybe I drive like a headcase..... or maybe a little of both........

i did the 2nd decat on my 07 wrx and i noticed a drop, 40 miles less per tank. my car has green airfilter and decat back exhaust system and it does run ritch, i plan to map mine so that i can get the benefit from it both in MPG and performance
