Nomad Pillar Pod Questions

I am looking at getting a dual pillar pod and have come across the Nomad one for the new age.

Has anyone on here got one fitted, if so is it a simple remove the old one and put this one in?

Also, the angle of the gauges look odd to me from the pictures on the Nomad Racing website, looks as if the gauges point skyward too much. Is this the case or is it more a case of the picture not speaking the truth?

Thanks :)

NOOOOOO DONT DO IT!!!!!!!! i bought a nomad item a little while ago now. and it was pure crap. the worst quality of anything ive ever seen. it was just awefull. the actual pods looked like they had just been tiger sealed on, it was about an inch too short, and as for the fecking great wood screw to hold it on, bollox to that.

it went straight in the bin. in two halves aswell.

although saying that, people on here have them and love them. perhaps i got a bad one, i dunno, but i wouldnt risk it again.

thats just my two pence worth

dan

Thanks for the info mate, not sure what to do really.

I did feel as though the quality of the Nomad pod was not upto much from just looking at the pictures.

Whats the alternative?

I've had nomad ones on a few of my cars. Found the quality spot on, always look OEM to me.
Maybe you did have bad one, did you buy from them direct?

That one looks like its for 52mm, the gauges I have are 60mm Defi's

It's a single one and 52mm but nomad... i thought it was superb, very OEM. Matched the hawkeye interior very well.

The knobbly thing is the UK alarm sensor which will not concern you being JDM (for UK cars you have to screw this off the old a pillar and onto the nomad one).

Tony.

Thanks for the pictures!

Is the angle of the gauges OK.

Do they reflect off the windscreen at night.

Thanks

The angle was fine for me, guess it would depend on how tall you are tho. Taller the better i would say.

To be honest not sure about reflections, its was 2 1/2 years ago that i chopped it in for the old M3 and my memory is cr*p but i don't recall me thinking about it so assume it wasn't an issue.

For the price they are worth a punt...
