Kenwood ddx 7029 fitting help needed

Hey everyone, just bought a kenwood ddx 7029 second hand and I need some help on fitting it. I've got it in and all working, except when I play DVDs all I hear is sound and no picture. What has to be done to fix this? I've heard it has to be grounded etc? And what about the handbrake bypass? What colour are the wires I need to adapt? Any help would be very much appreciated! Someone has already adapted the black power lead of the loom.

Thanks in advance

I got it second hand so surely the wire must have been tampered with before to get it working? Anyone have this actual unit? Don't wana be butchering cables for no reason lol,

here are some pics. the quality is amazing! pics dont do it justice. however i have a reception problem with my freeview. i get good signal at my house, but when i move the car at all it goes straight to no signal and then i have to reset it everytime. i cant get signal anywhere else around town even though there is very good reception in my area. what type of aerial should i consider buying? or does anyone have any ideas on where to place the aerial for better reception? the aerial im using came with the freeview box and is shown in the pics.. thanks in advance for any help

Looks like you have a Kenwood setup? I have the Kenwood KVT-522DVD flip-up system with the KTC-D500E Digital Freeview add-on box. But I was advised to use powered aerials, and opted for some Alpine ones that are powered by the Freeview box @ 5V. Each aerial is mounted front and rear of the car (Daihatsu YRV). Before the Digital switch over used get intermittent picture and sound depneding on where I parked the car, but since has been much approved. Looking at the Aerial your using that won't cut it.

Answered this for you on your other thread. Also provided some links to the Kenwood site which you can get both the Installation and User Manuals in PDF format which you will need to use something like Adobe Acrobat reader to read them. :thumb:
