File converting software needed.

Just wondering if there`s any FREE downloadable programmes out there for converting files i.e. Divx to Mp4 etc? I did try a free version of AVS and it works very well but it puts a watermark right in the middle of the screen now and then. It`s £40 to buy but it`s not something I`ll use often!! Ta :)

Usually several on here 1st thing in the morning from all the spammers. Try looking back a few hours in general or NSR, failing that be up early tomorrow!!!

Hmm, just converted an .flv to .avi. File size went from 9Mb t0 14Mb, and quality went down quite a bit. It was watchable, and therefore much better than many other methods I have seen, but its still not that great :(

I never convert anything to .AVI, its old hat these days. What is it your watching your movie file on ?

I prefer MP4 if its for my phone, remember its free software so you won't get paid version quality.

Try this, ive never used it though.

Just tried format factory. I wanted to convert a Quicktime video (from my camera) to MP4 for my phone. It converted it in 21 seconds.....but when I tried to play it, it plays for about a second?????
