What do you use, how much and any good?
|
Pipex £19.99 + VAT
No Quibbles with speed! :D |
check out www.easynet.co.uk
then mail me moe.kadri@easynet.com they sell more dsl then anyone in the uk, it is ethernet based so the contention is 20-1 not 50-1 which is the home service above. At the end of the day you get what you pay for Moe |
I'm on Pipex ADSL and I know a load more people that have signed up to it too.
Superb! ;) Cheaper than BT, free installation, rapid connection/downloads, great pings for games, etc... I'm very happy with it. Click here - Pipex ADSL Sales |
Pipex is great with the occasional problem which their support seem to be honest about and keep you informed about.
|
I've got a couple of customer's who we signed up to EasyNet. Certainly very quick on the 2Mbps flavour but possibly a bit pricey for home users IMO.
|
I use Pipex, I have never had any problems apart from being disconnected a couple of times, even then I suspect it was the modem.
For £23 a month :D:D:D |
Hello
I use Nildram (for non-adsl) and a few friends use them for ADSL. Slightly expensive, but highly recommended. Steve. |

I've got my ADSL working :D
Not supposed to be switched on till monday, but I noticed my router had managed to establish a connection, so now I'm on broadband :D T'is excellent, speeds are good, average downloads of about 45kb/s and CS pings of 30-40. Downloaded 1.6gb of linux last night, currently burning it to CD so I can have fun playing with that  |

Is there a fixed contract period for Pipex ADSL? I think most are 1 year but we are moving soon (around 3 months) so we may have to wait until we are in the new house. Darren |
BTOpenworld.
Nothing to complain about I'm afraid. Morons in the billing dept. when fitting it and converting Home Highway, else fine. |
I got wires only ADSL from PIPEX, no connection charge, £20 + VAT a month and no minimum contract, although you have to pay £50 + VAT if you cancel within one year.
Stuart |
u forgot the cost of the microfilter and dsl modem ;) I cant believe this. BT ADSL is not available in my area according to its line checker. But! :D on pipex it says it is available!!!! dam I hope this is true, sign me up! :D:D

Why would you connect to Pipex with a router rather than a modem?
|
If you connect via a router, your whole network automatically has internet access.
If you connect via a modem, the PC your modem is connected to has to "share" the connection, which means a) It has to do more work, (which slows it down) and b) The connection from other machines will be slower. David H. (PIPEX wires only plus Alcatel SpeedTouch 510 router/hub. Very happy.) |
Thanks David.
|
As Barry K. BT Home Highway. No probs except for install and hh conversion.
|
Thanks Andi,
Do you know why Pipex has a 3 month shortest period and all the other providers are 12 months? Doesn't really matter but I think Pipex are going to get my custom. Bring on Broadband!!! Darren |
Darlodge, 3 Months Minimum, though you have to pay the £50 (might be £60, around that anyway) installation charge thats normally free if you cancel within the first year.
