Fitting a boost gauge to an STI version III import

Can anyone help??
I have an autogauge boost gauge which was fitted to the versionIV uk turbo I had. It was a doddle on that car bacause there was a spare nipple/port thingy on the intake manifold and it just went straight on.

But my new car is a versionIII import STI and there's no spare port to use, there's hoses on all the ports already. I T pieced into one of them, but the gauge is at the top all the time and doesn't move, so I'm guessing I've tapped into the wrong one!!

Does anyone know which hose I need to tap into please?

Thanks for your time.

Dave.

My bad:o
Upon double checking everything I discovered that I had tapped into the right hose afterall. The gauge wasn't working because I hadn't put the plug from the sender unit into the back of the gauge properly:freak3::freak3::freak3:
The gauge now works fine. If I had half a brain I'd be lethal pmsl:)

Heh heh! Electrical work, full of little trip ups like that.

Last year I fitted two new Defi gauges. I did it all as per instructions, and had had the clocks out at the same time to drill holes in the surround for my AFR gauge LEDs.

When I tried the new gauges, ALL of 'em were dead:(

Car was off the road, waiting for an engine rebuild, so I was stuck. Took me a day to figure out: I'd caught the parking light switch when messing about with the clocks, left the parking lights on and flattened the battery. Who knew that defis don't work AT ALL below 10V?

Lol, everyone makes mistakes!!
If I make the same mistake twice, then I'll consider myself thick pmsl.
