Owner's clubs for lets say less desirable marques...
Went camping at the weekend and after pitching up noticed there was an unusual amount of Vauxhall Omegas around the camp site. Must have been at least thirty odd at the final count.
Turned out we were amongst a weekend meet up of the Omega Owners Forum. Now I know this sort of behaviour is not unusual in Scooby land but I was surprised that anyone would get quite so excited about an Omega. Maybe they have some quality that I don't know about. Seemed a friendly enough bunch mind :D What other odd car owners clubs are out there I wonder, and do they organise similarly sized meets :wonder: |
Hundreds of them out there for most makes.

Turned out we were amongst a weekend meet up of the Omega Owners Forum. They should get a life and join the cool dudes in our club! :o :lol1: :( http://www.autobahnstormers.org/ Reminds me of that Life of Brian sketch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb_qHP7VaZE |

My uncle was in the Morris Marina owners club a few years ago! And, I was in the Opel Manta's Owners Club for years.

Do people really still own them? |

Don't forget that some people join owners' clubs because they need spare parts and advice... the existence of a club doesn't mean the car is good!

It's jealously of course.:lol1: |
Yes, contrary to what we think, most of the country think knobheads drive scoobs and that we should all get nice Audi A4 S-Line Diesels in Silver with Black leather.

less desirable marques!:lol1: I'd rather have a bunch of morris minor owners down at my local pub than a bunch of chav Impreza owners comparing the size of the vinyl SWOOOSH on the side of their rusty riddled chariots.;)
In saying that i've came to the conclusion that the local Alfa owners club is full of posh faggots. |
Funniest has to be the Ford Focus owners club.
I can only imaging that the "spotted" section was very busy: "I drove 500m to tesco's and waved at 87 Foucus's'sie's.. and not one of you waved back." "I saw a blue ford focus on the M1 - was it you?" :D:D |
