ET for my bugeye.

Hi Guys,

Used to post on SN several years ago when I had a Classic WRX. I'm back in the world of Impreza's again now as the other day I bought a 2002 UK WRX!

It's not as quick as my old Import WRX, but still really pleased with it.

I'm planning on buying some Rota Force 18x8.5" wheels with 225/40 tyres.
The ET they come as is ET48.

I want these wheels to fill the arches as much as poss, and get them as close to the edge as possible, without sticking out.

Is it possible to choos an alternative ET? Such as ET38, to space them out a further 10mm??

I also plan to use Tein 30mm lowering springs. Has anyone got some piccies of this set up? 30mm lowered with 18's?

Any help much appreciated!

Good to be back! :)

This is an excellent tool for working out how well wheels will fit.

I have just taken delivery of some 17x8.5 with an ET40, and they should fill my arches pretty well without compromising handling.

If you go onto www.nasioc.com then alot of the time people post thier wheel specs, so you get to see a good range of size and offsets.

Just fitted bbs ch's today. 18x8 et 35, 225 40 18's on 30mm drop and they are very close to the arch liner, it actually touched on the way home but noticed that the black rubber liner was a little loose, pushed in and now clears ok. I wouldn't go any wider or more offset though.

having your rear arches rolled is always good for extra clearance too!
