Can i ask why did you change the head gasket(s)? was it due to gasket failure and why?

Usually head gasket failure/warped heads is a symptom on another problems such as a rad with a blocked core causing overheating for instance or a stuck thermostat or even a leaky rad.

Did you flush the rad???
Did you refill the system with the heater core open/set to 'hot'???

Likely an airlock but do bare in mind the above

Iv replaced thermo with a cool runnin one and place some K seal in the water system now and touch wood seems to be running ok so far only time will tell not sure if temp was on hot when i replaced the water but i do no these are bad for air locks in the water system im hoping it was just air in the system and nothin bad fingers crossed

just noticed that water is still going into the coolant container and bottom hose and thermo case aint hot after running for abit has anyone got anymore ideas starting to puzzle me now:(

might be a dodgy thermostat or might be your rad is blocked as i suggested earlier, did you get the rad blown through and/or tested????

K seal works wonders, put it in my Pug 406 2.1td sh*tter which was blowing gasses into the coolant big-time and it stopped it a treat, ran it for 10K or so miles then i sold it and i still see it from time to time some 14 months later.

good idea, they should 'sniff test' it as well to check for gases in the coolant.

Good luck:)
