RBF660 Dot 4

I'm swapping the 2 pots for 4 pots this weekend and I've just been given 1 litre of Motul RBF660 Dot 4 fluid.

Is there any issues wiith changing to this? I also have 1 litre of cheap Dot 4 to flush the system out with before putting it in.

What is the difference between the RBF600 and RBF660?

thanks

it will be absoloutely fine and beyond what most people require............

the main difference between RBF600 and 660 is simply peak temp ability.....the 600 is 321degC and the 660 is 325degC

Excellent!

just fitted 4 pots, yellowsuffs and HEL lines, flushed the whole system with some cheap dot 4 Then in with the Motul, it's a lot darker so it was easy to see the cheap stuff clear. Bled them then went for a couple of half hour drives to bed them in.

The difference is unbelievable! You could almost say the standard brakes are dangerous!!!

Cheers Alyn, I wasn't sure about changing to dot 4 but after a bit of searching the net this morning it seems as long as they're properly flushed through all will be well!

forget about the DOT number as its far more involved than most people think...........

you have used cheap dot4 and then pretty much a race fluid but is alos dot4, both the same then?? NOT LOL

I just flushed it through with the cheap stuff, can't do any harm eh to have clean pipes!!
Made sure all the cheap stuff was out and only race fluid in the system.
Just been for a bit of an early drive in the black forest, They are a world apart from the standard brakes! I'd normally feel fade after half hrs driving up there and have to back off a bit, nothing at all today! little bit of smoke when I stopped though!!
