Rallycross car build

Hi,
We are llooking at building a scooby for ralllycross supercar. To compete at the top level we will need approx 550bhp, what kind of engine spec would I need and who could build us a relaiable motor and what kind of hours between re-builds would we get ?

"piece of string", how long ?

A 2.5 Cosworth motor at circa £10K will make 550 bhp, and last, it's bust IC's and rads that will affect it's lifespan.

Good luck !

Yes we willl need lots of luck, thanks for the reply, I did want to build a rotory rx7 twin turbo, some big power out of a well sorted rotory, but my heart lies with Subaru, but one things for sure it aint going to be a cheap car, but if we can't be competitive I dont want to play, never wanted to make up the numbers
