Best all round Kumho Tyre for Scoob?
 

Ok im posting already for a place to buy tyres so sorry.
I hear good things about Kumho tyres and that they are good value. Any one got experience with them, whats a good one to go for out the range?

I have a set of Kumho ecsta supra which i have no complaints about so far, not really done to much enthusiastic driving in the wet but haven't had them loose grip yet.

Yeah i know these are the doggies. But they are super expensive and still look to me a bit "track". I want grip in dry and grip in wet. Do you have experience of the Kumho brand?, or are you pimping the Vredestein only man.
A while back Vredestein tyres were not so cool, even though the tyres were top. Im always suspicious of hype. Even though i know they are good tyres no doubt prob the best. You pay so much for them i thought perhaps try a good second place un??

They seem pretty cheap also. They ok for wet?, Main thing is i drive counntry roads in the wet and snow at times. Should i really go for the expensive tyres. Is there really that much difference in quality?.
Its crazy when the tyres can be twice the price. I dont mind paying for safety but it's a big difference.

On what car classic newage size etc...:)

Toyo PX4's are probably the best compromise in a 215/40/17, £69 ea. from camskill atm :)

falken 452's on my car.
im very impressed with them in the wet and they are good in the dry.
for a budget choice they would take some beating.

better in the wet than the toyo's but not quite as good in the dry although with firmer side walls last a lot longer

Wouldn't mind trying the 452's :) although they get mixed reviews. FWIW Vreddys are very good :thumb: but they have gone up in price after a long period on offer and I would buy T1R's for a classic based on price, snow would be awful though on most of these.

Thanks so much for all the help. Ok the Falkens are looking good. I did post before looking to buy snow tyres or winter tyres. Are they all pump in the snow apart from dedicated snow tyres?. I cant be arsed changing them all the time,dont have a spare set of rims and dont drive on snow that often. It's mostly just wet here..mostly all the stinking time!

Got a set of KU31 225/45 17 on my 05 STi and They seem spot on!

Any model you can reccommend?, seem like there are loads they do.

Kumho KU31`s are very good ran them on my e46 M3 good in wet too

as are the Falken FK452`s ran them on my05 sti

tbh the falkens and the Kumho` are very similar id go for whatever ones you could get the best price on if the same price think id take the Falkens.

Falkens getting my vote then. Cheers all so much for help. When spunking out £250-400 one does not want to mess up.
You all think winter tyres is not the way to go?, do they not perform well in the dry or wet?, if so im going for the Falkens.

I had Falkens on my wr1 during all the snow this year, and never had any problems, and i live in a rural hilly area. :)
