2001 Bugeye brakes.

Hey guys

Just bought my first scooby, prob will annoy the hell out of most of ya, having zero technical skills under a bonnet (luckily my dad is a mechanic - but lives 30 miles away), Im after advise for my new car.

Right I have a bugeye with fully default engine and brakes. only mods are to the panels/bumper/spoiler/lights.

Anyway I think the first thing I want to do is sort out better brakes for the car.

What are a good, long lasting choice for a 2001 WRX Bugeye?

I'd go for K-Sport calipers/discs/PF01 pads kit.

Need at least 17" alloys though (to fit the smallest 330mm kit) :-

This is a very popular uprated disc/pad package for not much money: https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...-99-a-set.html

The OEM subaru callipers you have are really pretty good so no need to change IMHO.

You can either get a better set of disks and pads (see Bob's above which would be a pretty good start IMHO) or get a bigger disk conversion from Godspeed using your own callipers.

the Godspeed kit will howver tie you into a bigger kit if replacements needed.

I did both on my bugeye :D
