It's called Av Gas (aviation fuel) used for light aircraft, same price as SUL can be bought legally from most small air fields.Problem is it states on the pump that it's (LL) low lead, what effect will it have on engine/sensors on WRX STI V5-no cat.My uncle uses it in his off road bikes 50/50 mix and they absolutely fly! Surely if it's good enough for a 1 engined plane 1000 ft up we could make use of it,even if we had to change the lamber/oxy sensor thing
Any ideas? |
I use this stuff in my old BSA scrambler off road and it is good stuff.
Speaking as a farmer who has had tanks dipped on numerous occasions may I point out the law... The Revenue boys don't look kindly on this sort of thing! AvGas has no road duty paid and is therefore ILLEGAL to use on the highway. Expect to be fined a four figure sum and have your vehicle confiscated (even scrapped) if caught. I do know one or two people in the farming community that this has happened to with regard to RED diesel. Is it worth the risk??? |
Sounds really good i'll see if i can find out any reason why it can't be used. Keep us informed save us all a small fortune
